I broke my neck in a vehicle accident on 05/25/1985 when I                          
was 19 years old.  The accident left me paralyzed from the middle of
my breast down to the tips of my toes.   I sustained an incomplete
fracture of my seventh cervical vertebrae and a complete fracture of
my first thoracic vertebrae.  As a result of my paralysis I have to
self-cath and take medication to help me control my bladder.  I roll
around in a manual wheelchair . Recently I acquired a special
wheelchair that will allow me to crank myself up into a standing
position.  From a standing position, I can roll myself through out
the house and do things that I can't reach in a wheelchair setting down.
